Our physical body is a creation of such proportion that no one knows all of it’s abilities, inner workings, and how it does all that is does naturally. It is definitely something we can call a creation of God, a Body Divine. How many specialties of medical personal do we have and still, we are discovering new organs, and systems we did not previously know about.
This physical body is for our eternal spirit to use and express itself in. It carries our soul throughout life until the time for our transition to a bodiless state.
Many religions have stressed to deny the body urges so one could be spiritual. Yet this may have been misinterpreted over the eons, as we cannot be spiritual without our body, as a presence on earth.
Perhaps this teaching was to emphasis that we are more than our body and not to fixate so much on being the body, through excesses of food, drink, sex, and many other mental fixations that are just about a body. Yet our body is the temple for our soul and so we must take care of this temple in all ways.
So there is a need for levels of concern over the body, the vehicle of our soul. First and foremost is to maintain the optimum health of the body. No matter what kind of body we have, it is our duty to take care of it to the best of our ability. Moderation in all things is probably good advice overall.
Our body runs on food, water, movement, rest and how we think. The body is a chemistry set working inside of us 24/7 regardless, and giving it the right fuel, the right vitamins, minerals, and trace elements, keeps it in top running order.
Pure clean water is a must and that means just water. Any drink with color, like tea or colas, is considered a food to the body and so we must drink water so the body can keep running.
Movement keeps the body in top shape and strength, keeping muscle tone and actually pumps fluids around the body as needed. No movement, we lose body muscle, and fluids collect, not a pretty sight and worse, leads to diseases.
Getting the right amount of sleep allows the body to work on things inside that need repairs, feeding, soothes the nerves, and other duties.
Our thoughts can add or detract from our health by what we think. the body reacts to our thoughts and words about ourself, quite literally.
This page will offer articles concerning the care and nurturing of our physical Body Divine. That even the techniques and recipes offered here, we never lose sight that this body is more than we think it is, it is divine and many aspects of our body we are still discovering.
When we finely tune in to our senses and our sensations, the body can be a delicate instrument for discerning, for intuition, for psychic awareness and for hearing/knowing within the needs of the body.
